Eucalyptus drepanophylla is native to the tropical and subtropical climate of eastern Australia, where it is found at elevations up to 800 metres. Summers are hot and moist, with mild, mainly dry winters and a dry season of up to 5 months. Mean annual rainfall is within the range 625 - 1,250mm; mean maximum of the hottest month is 29 - 35°c;, and there are generally up to 10 light frosts a year[
