Cryosophila williamsii is a solitary-stemmed, evergreen palm growing 3 - 7 metres tall. The erect or arched, unbranched stem can be 7 - 10cm in diameter, it can be covered with root spines; and is topped by a crown of 17 - 25 fan-shaped leaves[
