General Information
Corypha umbraculifera is one of the largest palms in the world, able to eventually reach a height of up to 25 metres. The plant's single stem is straight and cylindrical, 100 - 130cm in diameter and ringed with prominent leaf scars. The stem is unbranched and is topped by a crown of immense, fan-like leaves; a single leaf-blade at full size being as much as 5 metres in diameter, with a stout petiole 5 metres long[
