The generic name is often spelled Cluytia in older publications[].

General Information

Clutia angustifolia is a perennial plant with stems that can become more or less woody and persist for more than one year. It does not usually exceed 150cm in height[].
The plant is sometimes harvested from the wild for local medicinal use.

Known Hazards

Although we have seen no specific information for this species, there are reports that several species in this genus are highly toxic to grazing animals[].
