Chamaedorea pinnatifrons is an evergreen, single-stemmed palm that can grow 0.5 - 4.5 metres tall. The unbranched stem can be 5 - 30mm wide; it is erect, sometimes sprawling, when it often roots at the nodes; it is topped by a crown of 3 - 10 leaves[
