Canarium dichotomum is a tree that can grow 15 - 32 metres tall. The bole can be 15 - 60cm in diameter with buttresses up to 150cm tall. Occasionally the plant is more shrub like, barely reaching 7 metres tall[
The tree is a potential souce of a good quality resin.

Primary forests on dry grounds, usually at low elevations but extending to 850 metres[

The resin obtained from this plant is clear and should be useful[
Seed - we have no specific information for this species but seeds of this genus generally have a hard seed coat and germinate erratically. Filing away some of the seed coat to allow moisture to enter more readily, without damaging the seed, will encourage a faster and more even germination[
