General Information
Allagoptera leucocalyx is an evergreen palm growing to about 1.5 metres tall. The stem is usually short and subterranean, though it can develop with age to build an upright stem that can be up to 2 metres tall. The stem is usually unbranched, though it can occasionally fork; it is topped by a crown of upright leaves up to 1.5 metres long[
